TRAINING

Why is great service so hard to find? Why can we tell story after story of bad service but can’t really come up with examples of good service? Good customer service is all about sending away a happy senior borrower–happy enough tor you to pass along positive feedback about their services along to others. Good Reverse Mortgage Specialist’s realize these principals.

Ensure that your Reverse Mortgage Specialist consistently does these things:

1. Answers the phone or returns your call promptly

2. Doesn’t make promises unless he/she WILL keep them.
Reliability is one of the keys to any good relationship, and good customer service is no exception. If your Reverse Mortgage Specialists says, “The appraiser will be at your home on Tuesday”, he should be there on Tuesday.

3. Listens to you.
Is there anything more exasperating than telling someone what you want or what your problem is and then discovering that that person hasn’t been paying attention and needs to have it explained again?

4. Deals with problems and/or complaints.
No one likes facing problems or hearing complaints, but a good Reverse Mortgage Specialist will work to the best of his/her ability to resolve any problems that may arise.

5. Helpful - even if there’s no immediate profit in it.
